Rahmat Hasbullah, The Correlation of Leadership Style and Working Motivation to The Lecturer’s Working Disciplne at University of Singaperbangsa karawang, Karawang: Research and Community Service Institution (LPPM) Unsika, 2011.
This research has been conducted in order to describe: 1) The leadership style in every faculty at Unsika, 2) The working motivation of lecturers in every faculty at Unsika, 3) The working discipline of lecturers in every faculty at Unsika, 4) The correlation of. leadership style to working discipline of lecturers in every faculty at Unsika, 5) The correlation of working motivation to working discipline of lecturers in every faculty at Unsika, 6) The correlation of The leadership style and working motivation to discipline of work’s lecturers in every faculty at Unsika
The research used descriptive method, while the collecting data was done through 5 point rating scale questioner, stratified random sampling for difference subpopulation technique is used to 140 lecturers from 8 faculties and studies program. Technique Analysis and data conclusion were done through tabulation and recapitulation of data in table and graphic to showthe leadership style, motivation and discipline of work’s lecturersat Unsika, by Using Amos 5.0.
The result of the research has shown: 1) in economic faculty the leadership style was in transition between otoriter and democratic, in Fasilkom was in delegative way, in FISP the leader didn’t have clear perceiption about how he would, Faperta was tend to democratic, FH tended to delegative, either in FT, FAI, and FKIP. 2) The working motivation of lecturers commonly was motivated by social recognition, self actualitation, self-esteem, fisiologis needs, and securable, 3)Working discipline of FKIP lecturers had the highest score by the indicator of the neatness of performing tasks, 4) the correlation of leadership style to the discipline of workpartially had positive correlation with confirmatory biggest factor lies in the indicators: centralization of authority, work productivity, employee relations, employee appreciation and delegation of authority, with the 2.261 CR values> 1.96 and 0047 value of P <0.05. 5) The correlation of The working motivation to working discipline of lecturers can be concluded there is a positive correlation with confirmatory biggest factor lies in the indicators: Physiological, sense of safety, social, and self-esteem, with the 2,209 CR values> 1.96 and 0042 the value of P <0.05, 6) The correlation of leadership styles and motivation to work simultaneously on the discipline of work is equal to 0,31, which means that if the style of leadership and motivation of the work done along the same it will be able to create a discipline by 96.1%
